How often should you vacuum your carpets?
We recommend vacuuming carpets about once each week. If you have heavy traffic areas, you will want to vacuum more frequently in those places. Keeping your carpets regularly vacuumed will prolong the life of your carpet. When you vacuum each week, you prevent a buildup of grit and grime that can actually cut carpet fibers and wear your carpet faster than necessary. Every few weeks, take a little extra time and use your crevice tool for cleaning around baseboards, radiators, and other hard-to-reach places where dust likes to build up.
Shake and/or vacuum area rugs and throw rugs too. If you wash throw rugs, don’t put them in the dryer. Allow them to air dry over a rack or on the clothes line.
