Here is a handy list of tasks to check to see if it’s time to get them done this fall.
- If you don’t live in town, when is the last time you had your septic system checked or pumped?
- Change your batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Text your hard-wired alarms in your house.
- When is the last time you checked on your fire extinguisher?
- Put a fresh filter in your furnace before you need to turn it on for the season.
- Schedule a furnace tune-up
- Clean out your dryer vents, fireplace chimneys, etc.
- Make sure you reset your clocks on November 7th when the time change happens and we “fall back”
- Unhook hoses from your house and drain
- Clean out rain gutters and downspouts of fall leaves.
